Android Expert Support – an external Android sounding board for your team
A retainer that gives your team access to a senior Android consultant for decision-making, code review and perspective on hard problems. It is not a magic wand – some things are straightforward and quick, others are deeply rooted and take time to untangle – but you will not have to face them alone.
Get in touchSituations where a sounding board helps

- You have a single Android developer with nobody to review their code.
- Hard bugs and performance issues take longer than planned, and the next step is uncertain.
- Recruiting a senior Android developer is taking longer than planned.

When does a retainer fit?
What is included
- An agreed number of hours per month, with reasonable flexibility between months.

- A technical sounding board for design decisions, library choices and trade-offs.
- Support during debugging of crashes and performance issues – I help structure, prioritise and move forward, but some problems need deeper work and patience.
- Release support: Play Console, signing, staged rollout and policy questions.
- Mentoring and knowledge transfer for junior and mid-level developers.
- Agreed channels for questions, with clarity on what can be answered quickly and what needs investigation.
What you get
A predictable monthly setup with a named person who learns your codebase, clearer technical decisions, fewer guesses in the team and a more realistic picture of what is quick and what needs more time.
Timeline and way of working
The retainer runs monthly with one to three months of notice and typically ten to forty hours per month. Work is remote from Sweden with a recurring weekly call, access to your Slack or Teams channel and participation in your code reviews.
Frequently asked questions
How fast do we get a response?
It depends on the question. Simple questions are normally answered the same or next working day. Production issues are prioritised and answered as soon as practically possible during office hours. I communicate clearly if something needs more time or investigation.
Can you scale up during intense periods?
Yes, within reasonable limits and with as much notice as possible. I am a solo consultant, so for really large urgent needs I may need to prioritise together with you.
Do you work inside your team or alongside it?
Inside it. I join your routines, your board and your reviews rather than delivering from a separate bubble.
What happens if we hire a senior developer?
The retainer scales down and ideally turns into an onboarding period where I hand over codebase knowledge and decision history.
Can you sign an NDA and work in your environment?
Yes. NDAs are standard and I work in your systems, your repositories and according to your security routines.
